Sony Network Camera Snc-m1&#8243

Dog Pound

At the initiative of this project there is the producer Georges Bermann who wanted to make a film about prisons juvenile. He proposed to Kim Chapiron camera, co-founder of Kourtrajmé (with Romain Gavras) Sheitan and director, who agreed on one condition, take the time to explore this medium to paste up the truth. Through his many visits to prisons U.S. Chapiron authentically reproduces the daily life of youth, alternating moments of joy, brotherhood and extreme violence, but we never used the usual gang of prison guards and other perverse Mexicanos. The film is a statement that youth caught in the cycle of violence but not pointing any fingers, it's more a look that position.

The majority of young people who appear on the screen are not professional actors, they have known the famous penitentiary centers, Adam Butcher revelation, has even made two police custody during filming. This big fellow with an intense gaze carries the film from start to finish and his rise to power is reminiscent of Tahar Rahim A Prophet . With Dog-Pound, Kim Chapiron won best director at Tribeca Film Festival and opened wide the doors to the United States.
