A piece, one
• A giant piece of a giant: I Wonder Where Our Love Has Gone by Zoot Sims, the saxophonist in the long term. We remember that shortly after the release of this album in 1977, released on Pablo label under the title If I'm Lucky , Sonny Rollins told a reporter Jazz Hot that he had heard live Stan Getz , other tenors, then Sims. His conclusion? Sims was a notch above. For he had resolved to square Circle: melt pits airy Lester Young in note heavy, deep, expensive to Coleman Hawkins . Here, Sims is joined by his old friend, pianist Jimmy Rowles , former accompanist to Billie Holiday coach Marilyn Monroe Music and connoisseur, with Hank Jones , repertoire. This piece, it's not pie but rather like a wedding cake, as they say young people, Versailles. Ave!
